Every AXON system is sized to the building, so every quote is too

There is no fixed package and no price list. A quote is built from the hardware your building actually needs — one master per subsystem, one reader per access point, a node per landing on the building side — plus partner installation and, if you want it, a management service. How a quote is built

Three lines, sized to one building

Hardware. Every quote starts with a bill of materials. For an elevator cabin that is one AXON CCU-32 cabin master and one URX-Secure reader per cabin, talking over encrypted RS-485. For landings, entrances and doors it is one AXON ICM-GE external master, one AXON Node per floor or entrance on the encrypted CAN backbone, and a reader behind each node. Extra outputs (relay expansions), a LoRa link or a Wiegand converter are added only where the building needs them.

Installation. AXON hardware is installed and commissioned by an installation partner — cabling, bus termination, node addressing, reader mounting and elevator-controller connection. Installation is quoted separately from hardware because it depends on the building: riser length, cabin cabling, whether existing readers are reused.

Management (optional). The AXON web dashboard and mobile app manage cards, floor permissions and event logs. Whether that is run by you or by us as a service is a choice made per project and priced as its own line. It is never required for the doors to work — the access decision is made locally on the master, and the cloud only syncs the database, collects logs and delivers firmware.

What determines the price

Three inputs move the number

The same three questions we ask before every quote. Answer them roughly and we can size the system; answer them precisely and the quote is close to final.

Number of access points

Hardware scales with the points you control: cabins, landings, entrances, gates and doors. Each cabin needs a reader; each landing or entrance needs a node and a reader; each master serves one subsystem. One ICM-GE serves up to 120 access points per CAN port across two ports — 240 in total — so most buildings need one building-side master, and larger sites simply add masters.

Cabin, building, or both

The two subsystems are independent and can be bought separately. Cabin-only means a CCU-32 with 32 relay outputs plus in-cabin readers, gating floor buttons. Building-only means an ICM-GE with nodes and landing readers. Buildings that need both get both masters, each with its own local card database.

Uplink option

Each master syncs its card database, pushes logs and receives firmware over MQTT/TLS. Ethernet is the primary uplink on both masters, with cellular fallback — LTE Cat-1 on the ICM-GE, LTE-M / NB-IoT on the CCU-32. Sites without cabling can be quoted with the ICM-LR LoRa module, currently in pilot.

From building details to a running system

Send building details

Tell us the floor count, number of cabins, entrances and gates, whether cabling reaches the cabin, and whether existing readers or elevator controllers must be reused. A floor plan or photos help; a phone call is enough to start.

We size and quote

We choose the subsystem or subsystems, count masters, nodes and readers, pick the uplink, and size the CAN and RS-485 segments and termination. You receive an itemised quote: hardware, partner installation, and the optional management line.

Pilot or install

Start with a pilot — one cabin or one entrance, or a bench reader tested against your master — or go straight to installation with a partner. Cards are provisioned as MIFARE DESFire EV3, and the system runs offline from day one.

Nothing in the quote depends on the cloud being up. If a link drops after installation, the master keeps deciding from its local database and syncs when the connection returns.

FAQ

Common questions about pricing

Why is there no price list?

Because two buildings with the same floor count can need very different systems: cabin only or cabin plus landings, one entrance or six, Ethernet or cellular, new readers or a Wiegand converter for existing ones. A price list would either hide those differences or mislead you. An itemised quote does not.

Is there a monthly fee?

Only if you choose the optional management service or a cellular uplink with a SIM. The hardware, the local access decision and offline operation carry no ongoing fee — the master holds the card database on board and does not need the cloud to open a door or enable a floor.

Can we start small and grow later?

Yes. The cabin and building subsystems are independent, so you can start with one cabin or one entrance and add the other later. On the building side one ICM-GE serves up to 120 access points per CAN port (240 per master), so adding landings usually means adding nodes and readers, not a new master — and there is no cap on how many masters a site can combine. Pilot units are available on request.
